Rough Country Tubular Rear Bumper Reviews
Like others have said, The bumper is awesome. I was able to mount it up with not tooo much difficulty....the instructions are good BUT the small black and white pictures leave a lot to desire ... a fair bit of looking at the bumper, and then the mount and then the instructions.....could be a lot better.
Overall I give the bumper a 4+ star rating.......the Light package is great until you get to the wiring harness.....the harness is actually really nice.....BUT it is not intended for a JL, JK or JT......it looks like it might fit a 2 door wrangler but it is at least 6 or 7 feet short for any of the 4 door wranglers......So that gets it a 3 start overall....
The bumper looks good, but installation was annoying. I'm not sure what kind of tiny truck they tested this out on, but the included wiring harness is nowhere near long enough to reach the engine bay. The main bolts that attach the bumper to the frame are not welded on and instead use pieces of plastic to hold the bolts in place while you're trying to line everything up. The printed out instructions are in black and white and are completely useless in some sections. Look up the installation instructions online for a color copy that's easier to understand.
I love this bumper. It is a huge upgrade from the plastic factory bumper. I took off two stars because of the lights that come with it. It comes with a generic wiring harness that is not even long enough to connect to the battery or AUX switches. I am having to make my own wiring harness. One of the end caps on the tube was also damaged, but there was no damage to the box, so it was packed that way.
