Now that summer is here, the days are longer, weather warmer, and for many it is time to get those Jeep tops off - sometimes even doors too. But as things start coming off the vehicle, many start to worry about what is going to get in the thing. This, of course, leads to all kinds of questions about the best way to protect the vehicle's seats from stuff like dirt, grime, water and other types of road debris which can infect a Jeep when its top is down. In fact, this was the most asked question to us over the weekend at the New Jersey Jeep Invasion in Wildwood, NJ.

One great and comfortable mod for those on the go are the Quadratec Diver Down Neoprene seat covers. Think of them as a wet suit for your interior upholstery and we've had front and rear covers on Project Grey Wolf for several months now. They snugly fit over each seat and simply install without using any tools which is nice because they are just as easy to remove and clean when needed. The covers also do not interfere with any of the seat functions and have provisions for side air bags should your vehicle have them installed. Plus, the Diver Down covers are available in a wide variety of colors. We chose gray, but there is also yellow, blue, tan, red, charcoal or black so you can custom match pretty much anything.

The Diver Down neoprene material is really the key, though, and it offers several benefits that other standard covers do not have. The most important one is its ability to absorb moisture and keep it from seeping into your actual seats - which is a great thing on those rainy days when your top is off. You may get a little wet sitting on the cover after it rains, but we promise your seats will appreciate the protection. Another benefit is the comfort factor. Neoprene is a spongy, soft material with excellent thermal resistance so the covers stay cool on hot days, and warmer on cold ones. We had the top off all weekend in 90-plus degree sunny days at the show in Wildwood, and we were able to climb right in the Jeep without issue when it was time to ride home. Besides a snug fit, these covers are also durable and the soft neoprene will not crack or tear. If you are worried about sun fade, you can even get some UV protectant to make sure those colors remain vibrant for years to come.

The covers do come with a 1-year warranty and simply make for a smart mod for anyone who wants to keep their seats protected when the Jeep top comes off.
