Build Details
December 12, 2008

The frame off began in November 2007 and was completed near the end of June 2008. The frame and factory tub was sandblasted and treated with Chassis Saver. Custom 3/16” rocker guards were installed, chip guarded and painted to match. It rides on a 3” Black Diamond suspension with Skyjacker gas shocks and Currie greasable shackles. The motor remains the stock 258 with a GM HEI, MC2100 carb and black wrinkle aluminum valve cover. Exhaust is comprised of 2 ½” pipe, cat and a Flowmaster 40 series. Both front and rear bumpers are custom built. Steering received a HD steering box bracket and a tie rod flip. It rolls on 15X8 Dick Cepek DC-1 with 33X12.50X15 tires. Interior mods include spray in bed liner, new seat belts, dash lights and factory high back seating. Stainless accessories include Kentrol mirrors, hood kit, windshield kit, tailgate kit, door hinges, gas fill port and a Totally Stainless vehicle wide bolt kit. Paint is three coats of Ford Dark Shadow Gray Metallic or CX under six coats of clear. In addition to the factory hard top, summertime’s lid is a Bestop Traditional Bikini.
Plans for the future involve the installation of the AMC 360 .030 over with the Edelbrock performer, Holley 650 converted to off-road compatible, Edelbrock Shorty Headers mated to the stock TF 999 tranny. The tranny is in, the motor is still on the stand waiting for a clear weekend.
