Reviews for Q Industries MV89G 12 Volt Dual Air Compressor
Couldn't be happier with the quality and performance of this unit. Aired the 34's down to 15 lbs and in under 2 minutes it was back to the 28 lbs I run. Highly recommended product!
Works better than expected. The built in deflator was unexpected (didn’t see it in the specs), and helpful during testing. I took my tires down to 15psi to set my deflators, then used the compressor to air my stock 245/75r16s up. Took just over a minute per tire to go from 16psi to 40psi. This bad boy does get hot fast, and the heat is retained by the handle to a degree, so be careful picking it up after heavy use. That said, I’m happy I chose this unit. It gets the job done quick!
Works great, only takes minutes to air my tires up now. It is a little bigger and heavier than other single piston compressors although not that much but worth it with how well it works. No problem getting to any tire on my JKU with compressor near battery, air line is plenty long. Everything fits in bag easily and seems to be holding up well so far in a couple months of use.
Just purchased the compressor for off-roading, camping, and lake trips. Overall the unit is very well made, including the folding handle which has turned aluminum ends and steel hinges. The hose and cord length are also very good, I can reach the back tires of my JKU with no problem leaving the unit sitting in the engine compartment. Quick disconnects on both ends of the hose are also very convenient.
I performed a test to simulated airing my 33" tires back up after leaving the trail from 15 to 32 lbs. It took 90 seconds per tire which seamed pretty quick, due to the two piston design. The only draw back is the size of the unit is a little big and heavy but I guess that is a trade off for the extra air flow of the two piston design. Will be very helpful in filling inflatables at the lake as well.
I give the unit 4 stars maybe 4 1/2 instead of 5 due to the overall size and weight. Also the bag is a little lightweight and not easy to get the unit and hose back into, not sure how long it will last overtime. Overall very happy with this unit and is recommended. See pics attached.
