Reviews for Crown Automotive RT28081 LED Tail Light Set with Red Lens 07-18 Jeep Wrangler & Unlimited JK
Absolute garbage. Went through 3 sets of driver sides and they still wont work as advertised.
This review is real, bought these in December 2020, early March I have to tap the right taillight to make the running light come on. The left tail lamp already has 6 LEDs out for brake light. They look nice for short period of time. Not sure how the warranty will work on these, I'd rather have my money back.
I would give these zero stars if I could. They are junk, walk away and spend more money maybe for a higher quality set. I have now gone through three sets of these in a years time, with random LED's either completely out, or flickering.
Don't waste your time or money. The return process was easy here, however now that my third set have failed and it's a month past the year warranty on this third set, I'm out of luck swapping these yet again. Into the trash they go and the stock taillights go back on for the time being.
Not plug and play... did not have correct connectors for 2015 JKU. Also did not include wiring instructions for option to splice in nor was I able to find video online to trouble shoot. Unable to install and trying to return.
First set failed and then the replacement set failed. Aftermarket installer said they just aren’t sealed well enough to survive exposure to the elements. Probably not a good thing in a Jeep product...
These tail lights failed after only having them installed for 15 months. Conveniently they only have a 12 month warranty so I have to now buy another set. I will not be buying these again. Spend a little more for better quality.
These lights failed after about 18 months. The issue seems to be the resistor pack is exposed to the elements, and get corroded quickly. The warranty period is of course, 12 months. Do not recommend, spend your money on a higher quality, weather-sealed set. It's a shame, because I really liked them when they were working.
did NOT plug and play!! returning order.
After two complete replacement sets, this latest version has fogged up on the inside of the lens. These are not waterproof, and need some type of gasket modification to seal completely.
They are plug and play, and work well, when not fogged up with moisture....
Is not plug and play at all. Completely different connections for my 2007 Jeep rubicon
