Reviews for TecStyle Custom Fit Front and Rear Cloth Seat Covers for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Just finished installing my TecStyle seat cover 2008 2-door Rubicon. Install was about 90 minutes, toughest part was fishing elastic side straps between seat rails. The finished product looks great, these should last longer than the neoprene covers I removed. The neoprene only lasted 3 years, faded and worn from sliding in and out of jeep. If you run without top the neoprene faded within first year, I'm hoping the TecStyle last longer. I'm going to stay fabric protection hoping to help with fading. Very pleased with the new TecStyle seat covers.
The best
I looked into many different types of seat covers by numerous manufacturers (Bartact, Wet Okole, Rough Country, Sheer Comfort) and they all had at least one thing about them that kept me from buying them. I finally pulled the trigger on these and think it was the right decision. They look great, seem to be well made, and were not extremely difficult to install. Getting front and rear covers for this price makes it a home run. I'll see how they hold up over time but since I don't spend a lot of days riding around with the top off I think they'll hold up well.
A little challenging to install, but not too bad. Very pleased with the look and quality. Look like (or better than) factory seats. Comfortable and attractive.
Not sure what could be done to improve these for the price. I am pleased. Thanks Quadratec.
TecStyle Seat Covers by Quadratec Color: Charcoal My Jeep: 2008 Wrangler JK - Rubicon 2 dr. What I look for in seat covers: Fit, Durability, looks. The look: Twill/Tweed pattern. Deep colors. Rich look…Impressive Install: 40 minutes, which included removing the old neoprene covers. ( which I liked, just starting to fade & wear after 5 years )…Easy Installation Quality: Strong, thick fabric. Great tweed design…Better than expected Potential issue: cheap clip ends. The light plastic clips may not be so durable. These are the clip & lock strap ends and the S-hooks. I had no issues, but had to be careful with them. Durability: So far so good, but it’s only been 1 week. I’ll report back after a few months of daily use. Not waterproof, but can warm water clean & air dry. (I might use 303 fabric protector on them.) Potential issue: The tweed center sections looks great, but I’m concerned they will start to wear in friction spots or fray. I've never purchased a Quadratec brand product before. Assumed they might be a cheaper version of a better brand. These seat covers changed that opinion. Great quality, easy install, and look great. I don’t like baggy, loose, and obvious seat covers. These fit nice and snug. They look like original equipment. Really dresses up the interior…Recommended Great Buy
I put these on my 2011 Rubicon! I was worried about installing but it only took me about an hour and half to do front and rear!
I have a 2010 Rubicon 2DR JK... 10 year old seats looked worn & grungy. These covers made them look new! One criticism- elastic strap for passenger seat moves up and back with seat across the stationary bar of the seat base. I think this will scissor the band over time. Great fit otherwise and well worth the price.
When I received these I doubted whether or not I was going to install them. They are thick and squishy and I wasn't sure I wanted to cover my seats in them. They feel like they could hold dust and dirt and they have a chemical smell to them. They are made out of that material that full body halloween suits are made out of.
After doing one seat I realized how bare the cloth seats looked without them. Sort of ugly really. The TecStyle covers make your jeep look like a normal car, with normal nice seats. I ended up deciding to install all of them.
The drivers seat cover fits snug but the back support cover of the passenger seat sits about 1-2 inches off the seat. Its not noticeable until you touch the seat. Theres a giant air pocket. I might play with them to see if I can fix it. Irritating but for the price they work. Sort of wish I installed them earlier because after a year my cloth seat stitching had already started to come undone.
Ultimately, they are a liveable fix for a weak characteristic of my 2018 2 door jk - the easy-to-get-dirty-and-dusty cloth seats. I pray every night to relieve myself from the constant stress of watching my new jeep fall apart. Buying any new car is a poor financial decision, at least from the outside I look cool driving my jeep.
These seat covers are definitely a nice upgrade to my vinyl originals. My only gripe is that they don't provide more coverage around the seat adjustment handle. I think it has something to do with the design of the 2007 seats because other pictures show much better coverage. It would provide a more factory look if they fit differently. Anyway, I love the look of them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to dress up the interior a little.
